Is there a way to send this quickly with a Yahoo account? I'm told there are too many email addresses. I obviously could put in less at a time, but would like to avoid that timely process.

to do this you would have to rent a server from a place like godaddy.com...

your SMTP server through yahoo only allows a certain amount of email per day. They do this to avoid spam and people bogging down their servers.

Then you would have to either use a free version or purchase a mass mailer program that allows you to send bulk amounts at one time.

You can find a link to the software on page 2 of this thread!

It is a little more involved,.... you have to set the options in the mass mailer program also, like the SMTP server address and the Pop server address. Do you know how to do this?
Uhm, no to the server question, though my girlfriend has a virtual shared-hosting account, if that counts. The mass mailer I'm using is the aforementioned "GoDaddy" program. Though every time I try to send, it states that the "To: list is missing an "E-mail" column." I couldn't find anything in the help site it directed me to, but, then again, I'm not sure what I'm looking for. My e-mail savvy is shamefully ignorant. I just used my ****@gmail account for the "From:" - ionlyknowy's .TXT file for the "To:" - and a word document for the message. I'm guessing I've done something foolish wrong, haven't I?

Not really sure what the godaddy program is?

godaddy.com is where you go to rent a server to host a website. NOT to get a mass mailer program.

    Steps you need to take:
    1. buy a domain, and server rental from www.godaddy.com
create your email through your new server.

    2. download one of the programs that are listed in the link provided on page 2 of this thread.

    3. find out the address to our SMTP server, which should be your new godaddy.com server. Then enter this address into the mass mailer program under options

    4. enter the POP server (which is incoming messages) This should be your gmail or yahoo type account.

    5. send the emails.

I doubt it, it's probably put in place to prevent spamming.

If you google bpoor@hearstsc.com, then you get tons of other media email contact lists... kinda of interesting... maybe this domain name is a flag for spam to servers....?

Keep sending those emails out! We need to let the world know we are fed-up with Fox News trying to hi-jack this election!

  21. #48
Ha! None of the other candidates have this kind of dedication. If we keep this up, by the time most of the news anchors around the country return from X-Mas/New Years break, they will be awoken to the r3volution.

(I got several generated responses saying they were out on break but would read the e-mail when they return. Unlike the big news companies, the smaller ones actually have time to read e-mail).

So I can only assume aol, hotmail, gmail etc. would let me send one bulk e-mail to all of these people?

    REVOLUTIONARY BUMP!!!

I love emailing this stuff >

You really shouldn't have posted all those email addresses in a publicly accessible site like that. Spam bots/scripts visit thousands of web pages everyday to harvest email addresses en masse that are posted unobfuscated like that. Its better to attach them as a text file.

all the emails are already publicly available on the web, and have probably been scooped by bots already, its important to word your emails appropriately, and use BCC to include the list of recipients.

that is sooo funny... cause that is exactly how I got these email addresses...

It doesnt matter if they are posted all in one place, ALL of these have been posted on the web in some place before....

    Check out this website

    http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-...99/replies?c=1

They have most of the same emails that I have posted here...

    Nothing new was done here...

  33. #58
If someone could tell me how to sort these emails by domain name then I will attempt to clean the list up better...

Like group all of the @washpost.com emails together... etc.
